Muslims can make the important Umrah trip year round. Umrah is a valued sacred and holy travel thus Muslims can do it anytime except Hajj. Although Umrah is smaller than Hajj it is optional. Umrah is optional compared to Hajj although the Prophet PBUH performed it three times in his life hence it has benefits. Does Umrah need showers?
A pilgrim who wants to be ritually pure for Umrah should remove his garments and if possible take a shower like he would after being sexually defiled. He should then smell his head and beard with the best oil. What remains after Ihram is safe.
Showering for Ihram:
Everyone must bathe during Ihram even menstruating ladies with postpartum haemorrhages. If time permits pilgrims except those menstruating or postpartum bathe and prepare before praying the obligatory prayer. He communicates his desire by chanting the two Sunnah Rakass before each Wudhu.
Wadu delivers two rakahs of namaz for ihram wearers before they go for Haram Sharif. Before Tawaf after Ihram travellers should recite Talbiyah as much is possible. At Haram Sharif spin the Kabba seven times for Tawaf then pray two Rakat of the opposite-direction Namaz to Muqami Ibrahim. Next drink loads of Zamzam Water do Sai and shave or trim your head to end Umrah.
After Umrah Taking a Shower Is Not Required:
After Umrah you may feel fatigued and desire to shower but it is not required. This isn’t specified anywhere but you can shower after Umrah if it’s more comfortable. After Umrah you can dress properly and do non sinful things. Pray as much as you want to please God and develop your Tawakal and Iman.
Your travel operators can arrange Nafli Tawaf or daily tawaf and visits to Makkah and Medina on the remaining days. Despite Umrah 2 to 3 hour workout the Prophet S.A.W. has done it three times in his life.
After Umrah you’re pure thus no bath is needed. If a pilgrim is purified one is unnecessary. Thus pilgrims can bathe after Umrah although it is not needed.
What should one do after performing Umrah?
- Keep your Allah relationship solid. Pilgrims obey various personal and social rules when travelling.
- Remember Allah in everything you do.
- Start being good.
- Continue praying after Umrah.
