A Prayer for Lenten Boldness
By Meg Bucher

“So allow us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will obtain grace to assist us when we need to have it most.” Hebrews 4:16 NLT

“Did I blow it?” It’s a question I have questioned a number of situations in my daily life. On the cusp of anything terrific when the base falls out. Letting dread to get more than. Allowing anger get in my way. Interrupting instead of listening. We’ve all been caught more than enough to talk to the question, “did I blow it?”

Missed prospects and mess-ups are a component of lifestyle. The worst matter we can do is ruminate. God is in management, and He’s well conscious of our imperfections. If we were able of strolling out His will for our life, He would not have despatched Jesus to make way for us. The writer of Hebrews suggested us to arrive boldly to the throne of our gracious God, not arrogantly. Conceitedness is an offensive display of superiority or self-relevance overbearing delight. Boldness is a absence of hesitation or worry in the deal with of danger or risk bravery. It is a refusal to be held back by the belief or judgement of other people. (dictionary.com) Boldness realizes who we are in the light-weight of who Christ is.

“So then, since we have a terrific Higher Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, enable us maintain firmly to what we consider. This Superior Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all the exact same testings we do, yet he did not sin.” Hebrews 4:14-15 NLT

This Lenten Season, let us cling to Christ, knowing we are cost-free to take pleasure in the fullness of daily life as a result of His sacrifice.

Let’s pray:
Father,
Thank you for these encouraging verses right now. You are faithful to elevate us up when we are stuck in question, and discouraged by our blunders and imperfections. When our sinful nature journeys us up, God, thank You for reminding us You are nevertheless in control. Thankfully, we are not! We cling to Christ currently, God, holding firmly to our perception in Him. We know He understands our weaknesses, for he confronted all the exact temptations and tests we do day by day …yet, He did not sin. Father, thank You for sending Jesus to help you save us. Thank You for giving us a Close friend who empathizes with us, actually, knows how we really feel, and satisfies us with frustrating compassion. It is by Christ Jesus we arrive boldly to Your throne, God. We will need Your grace. It is by means of the Holy Spirit alive and energetic in us we are equipped to be bold enough to arrive to You! Recognizing our will need for grace, forgiveness, electrical power, and power to stroll in Your will! We occur to You, currently, God of grace and mercy simply because we need to have You. We will need grace, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, and toughness. On our have, we are incapable of strolling in Your will. As the writer of Hebrews wrote, we appear boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will get Your mercy and find grace to aid us when we want it most.

Father, thank You for figuring out when we will need Your mercy the most. Thank You for seeing more than us so especially and compassionately. You enjoy us for who we are …right now …and we are so grateful for Your grace and kindness. Guide us to Your will for this working day, and our life, Father. Help us to comprehend the depth of Your mercy and grace as we prepare to mirror on Jesus’ crucifixion …and resurrection. Carry Your Light into focus in our lives, and Your Truth to the best of our minds. when we are battling, and when we are enduring victories in this life. Father, we seem forward to joining You for eternity, when we will no extended be bound by sin or working experience sadness and ache. But until then, we depend on You thoroughly. We cling to Christ Jesus, our great High Priest, Your Son, keeping firmly to what we feel. Jesus, You are our pal. We are grateful You satisfy us in our weaknesses and relate to the testings we endure day-to-day. We come boldly to Your Father’s throne via You. Thank You for Your sacrifice, faithfulness, compassion, love, life, light-weight, real truth …and trustworthy friendship.
We pray in Name of our Fantastic Superior Priest, Amen.
