A Prayer for Leaning into God’s Equipping

“Walk by religion, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

It is generally disheartening to really feel as although I have reached a considerable place in my journey only to question, “Now what, Lord?” God has set a desire in my coronary heart to compose for Him which I are unable to tranquil. I wrestle and combat, clawing for path or insight. God tells me to listen, look at, do the up coming factor, and wait. He reminds me not to fear about the future, but to hold out on Him. Obediently, I attempt my best to exploration, discover, write, pursue, pay attention, adhere to …and wait around. I opt for to have confidence in Who is primary me, even when it feels like walking with blinders on, and I just can’t see the benefits of my initiatives. God gave me the wish, but it is up to me to set the function in. A function He promised to equip me for!

The street can be prolonged and precarious, and generally we really don’t know the vacation spot …but God does. He will equip us when we do not really feel able or worthy of His contacting on our lives. Our job is to do the operate He has assigned us and wait around for Him to distinct the way. I am mastering to choose every single day as it comes, trusting Him to guide and manual my ways. I plant my roots in His methods and His truth. I am overcome with all the streets I could veer off onto, but He quietly reassures me He will tutorial me. I feel dwarfed amongst 1000’s of Christian writers, but He gently tells me He will help my voice achieve who it is intended for. It may possibly not be the masses it could be a person. It may perhaps be tomorrow it might be a long time down the road. We read in Philippians 2:13

God did not phone us to one thing massive only to go away us hanging. He is not reliant on our human means to decide on the proper highway. He functions within just us. It is our career to rely on Him as an alternative of ourselves. Even when the street ahead of us is whole of fog, we can hold our eyes on Jesus to keep going. We can have faith in Him with each day, activity, and idea to do factors for Him.

Let’s pray:
Lord, You have placed a drive and contacting on my life. I have listened to Your voice and know the way You want me to go. On the other hand, I am get over by discouragement. I just can’t see the highway in advance and need Your strength to keep shifting ahead. I require Your sight, Lord, and Your leading. Forgive me, Lord, for taking hold of factors that do not belong to me. Forgive me for striving in my electrical power to consider and manifest matters that were being in no way intended for me. Support me to see clearly what You have for me. I surrender my contacting to You and location it in Your capable fingers. Reveal and encourage me with Your Holy Spirit. I trust You to equip me for all You want me to do. You did not simply call me to do Your will due to the fact of my means but simply because of my willingness. Consider my worry and strife and turn it into glory-stuffed function. Give me discernment when I get started to go down the incorrect route.

I rebuke the enemy and the interruptions that he is placing in my route. I pray for power against laziness or complacency. I occur from the lies that enslave me, telling me I am not superior sufficient, I do not have what it will take, or that I will by no means get to the place I want to go. I stand firmly on the truth and assure that You are with and will under no circumstances leave me. I surrendered all my heart’s needs and question You to lead each individual minute of each and every working day. Thank You, Jesus, for Your eternal enjoy, and the numerous treasures You have stored up for me.
